Going to a tweetup at a brewery on Thursday, so I'm thinking, "Shit, I'd better update the blog!"
Fortunately, I just picked up a six pack. Part of Breckenridge's 471 Series, this double IPA is a small batch, limited edition brew. It's availbale year-round, but only in limited quantities.
Brassy, amber color. Very slight haze. Modest carbonation visible. Delicate, egg white head. Sticky lacing.
It has a light, airy aroma. Mildly spicy hops and sweet, bready malt.
Taste & Feel
A nice blend of sweet and hoppy. Spicy hops hit first, accompanied by a carbonated burst. It has a medium body and clean mouthfeel. The middle has a sweet caramel flavor with a hint of yeasty bread, followed by a crisp, citrusy hop finish.
Pretty tasty. I'm happy I picked up six.
